A CWNA gives you credibility in the IT industry for installing, administering and troubleshooting wireless networks in a variety of environments. You will learn the basics of Radio Frequency (RF) Technologies, Wireless LAN Technologies, Wireless LAN Implementation and Management, Wireless LAN Security, and the Wireless LAN Industry and Standards.
The skills and knowledge measured by this examination are derived from a survey of current wireless networking experts and professionals. The results of this survey were used in weighing the subject areas and ensuring that weighting on the exam is representative of the relative importance of individual content.

In addition to having a high school diploma (or equivalent), candidates for the CWNA track should have a basic understanding of a Microsoft Windows operating system (either Windows 2000 or Windows XP), basic knowledge of networking (as exhibited in Net+, CCNA®, CNA, or MCP). Prior experience with wireless networking components is recommended, but not required.
