An MCSA certification gives you credibility in the IT industry worldwide, to manage and administrate a Microsoft Windows 2003 networked information system in a variety of environments. The certification provides the ability to administer a medium to large Microsoft Active Directory environment, and administer both the Windows 2003 Server and Professional (workstation) platforms.

In addition to having a high school diploma (or equivalent), candidates for the MCSA track should have a basic understanding of the Windows operating system (either Windows 95, 98, NT 3.51, 4.0, 2000 or XP). Also, prior experience with network components is beneficial, but not required.
